The Real Club Náutico de Barcelona (RCNB) has been the scene of the official presentation to the media of the 50th edition of the Trofeo de Vela Conde de Godó, held this Wednesday, May 10, at 12:00 noon. With a registration period open until May 19, as of today, 90 teams have already pre-registered.
The event was attended by Jordi Puig, president of the RCNB, accompanied by Alex Villatoro, director of the Consell Català de l’Esport of the Generalitat de Catalunya; David Escudé, Concejal de Deportes of the Ajuntament de Barcelona; Xavier Torres, president of the Federació Catalana de Vela; Ana Godó, vice president of the RCNB and representative of the Godó family; and Pablo Garriga, commodore of the RCNB and director of the regatta. Also participating as guests at the event were Mack Dalton, son of Gran Dalton, CEO of the America’s Cup.
The Trophy will be held from May 24 to 28 with the participation of 90 boats and 550 sailors from all over the world, two race courses and the incorporation of women’s one design boats.
The village of the Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy will host, on Saturday and Sunday, the exhibition of the Copa América together with the Godó Trophy.
